My name is Kristen Alderman. I have lived in Northern Michigan since 1993. I am blessed to call "Up North" home for over 30 years. I am married, with one daughter and 3 amazing grandbabies.
I too am a Michigan State University graduate. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Administration. I joined The Reverse Mortgage Center in 2024. Previously, I had nearly 15 years of experience as a Credit Counselor and a HUD Certified Housing Counselor for a non-profit agency. One of my duties as a HUD counselor was to provide the required counseling to Seniors who were considering getting a Reverse Mortgage. For many of them, a Reverse Mortgage was life-changing. It gave them freedom, peace of mind, and hope for a more comfortable retirement. I found my small part in the process to be extremely rewarding.
Since joining the Reverse Mortgage Center, I have learned that a Reverse Mortgage can be a strategic, versatile retirement planning tool. Consumer education is my passion, and I am excited to get the word out about all the ways a Reverse Mortgage can improve the quality of life for Northern Michigan seniors.
